LO4: Be able to select and edit images for a client brief

I have edited the photo using basic levels and exposure, vibrance and contrast. I have been using masking to make sure that I can clearly highlight the subject of the image. The image is one of the more generic images. I have used an aperture of F.5.6 because of the strong amount of natural light that was present when I took the photos.

This is another generic image that I have edited the colours to make them more effective again allowing me to create a better composition. The image uses a better composition to capture more of the environment around the subjects. I have also used the dodge and burn tools that come with lightroom to enhance certain parts of the image to make them stand out effectively using masking.

The photo has been edited using similar techniques as the first image although I have used colour grading to make the red parts of the image much brighter. The image has been edited with needing to make the red sign more vibrant so that it can be read and so that it is the subject of the image. I have applied a much harsher crop to the original image as well as making the foreground of the image a lot more blurry to really show off the main subject being the logo in the background of the image.

I have focused on using the idea of composition in this image editing the image by using cropping and levels to make the image more effective. I have used the golden parts of the image to make the image stand out more. I have added more objects to the image which I believe makes the image much more interesting to look at and therefore helps to promote the companies' brand and logo.

The image has been taken using a wide shot type this has allowed me to include much more of the background and the environment in which the image has been taken. I have changed the colour of the metal to make the image have a larger contrast. Doing this allows me to use the masking tool to select the pasties and make them seem more appealing in the image. I also used the contrast slider to make the images elements stand out more compared to the rest of the image.

This image has been taken using a standard shot type and it is different both in terms of composition and meaning. The image shows off a different part of the process. This image is much more about showing the process of the making of the pasties so I decided to frame the image using the shape of the oven that i used. I used contrast sliders as well as the exposure and highlight tools to make the image stand out much more.

I have changed the colours of the metal to create a stronger contrast in the image. The photo has also been brightened to allow for more detail in the image because of the darker backdrop. I achieved this by using the shadow sliders to make much more of a contrast in the image. As well I also used the colour picker to make the metal stand out and have a much starker contrast compared to the colour of the pasties.

This photo was taken to show off the final product and the brand as a whole. The image captures the whole environment instead of just the product. I used the dodge and burn tools to brighten and darken the image. I decided to create a sort of vanishing point in the image by using a worms eye view this provided me with a much more interesting image and composition.

The photos that have a green outline around them are the ones that I will be using this is because there is no blur or any other artifacts that will ruin the final edited image. The images are also not over exposed or tilted to much. They also use a variety of different shot types.

The images that are in red are examples of images that I will not be using because of some issue ranging from artifacts in the image dirt on the lens and overexposed images as well as the the images just being too blurry.
